I bought my first torch at reef a palooza New York. It disintegrated the next day in my tank... I was devastated.

I'll be honest, I think they basically like the same parameters lol which is weird but higher light has always been better for me with torches

But they can grow up to 8” correct?

I've had one for about 4-5 years and I've never actually seen it get much bigger than like 2-3 inches. I did have a buddy who had one that was like 5 inches.
I think we overlight our tanks for them so they don't really get massive

I just recently added a torch again for the first time in a couple years - my old one did fantastic until the clowns loved it to death...

My last torch attacked my waving hand anthellia and made it spawn all over my tank. Then I moved it to the new tank, gave it a nice happy light right above it and it died.
