…. I guess I technically work in fast food.

Have a Culvers in your state? Actually good place to work. Even with part time I can afford the tank startup and a few bills. So, judging by that, I’d say the pay is decent. :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

How does reefing help???

Keeps my mind busy. Some of those customers really like pushing buttons but I’m too busy daydreaming about Torches to push back.

Pharmaceutical scientist/biochemist. I work primarily in manufacturing process development. I fiddle with pumps and reactors until they work in the lab, then go to the big factory and scale it up 100x. Then if the operations folks are lucky, I help fix everything when it breaks. Fun fact - I helped develop the manufacturing process for one of the covid vaccines.

I think it is fairly obvious how this helps me with reefing, but often it hurts me… I tend to fiddle with chemistry too much and over-engineer my pumps and plumbing!

Retired clerical worker for private sector and Government. Now I watch my tank and videos like reefer Matt. It’s a good hobby for me because I like to putter.

Omg, no way! No joke, when I saw your photo in that “meet your fellow reefers” thread a few weeks ago I immediately thought you looked like a pastor. +1 for my spiritual discernment! :smiling-face-with-halo: :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

Well, I went back to my old job location before I was “Reefer Matt”. Now I’m a Nuclear Maintenance Journeyman again. Which means a lot less time for reefing and such. :grimacing-face:

A couple years from Retirement. I'm a 33 year Pharmacist. Worked in Retail FT x18 years then part time x10 more years while working FT at The Department of Corrections. Been at DOC x15 years and counting. It's where they put pharmacists out to pasture.

Edit: Forgot the second part of the query. I'm well versed in Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology/Zoology. That helps.

LOL! That's great! When I saw a pic of him at Reefapalooza, I thought "He's gotta have a job where a nice guy is required". Minister fits!

And when I was on a thread talking about your version, I got horrifically confused because all I could think about was the prison system!!

My son's lady is in the process of applying to Med School. She wants to work in an ER/Trauma Center.

It's a long haul getting there, but honestly I think it's the best job in the world and wouldn't do anything else. I work in a small, rural but very busy ER/trauma center (we're the only one in the county). Happy to chat with her if she has any questions about the process or training. Just shoot me a DM if so.
