Side view…
Rock looks like live rock from the ocean…
Going to have to get my hands in the tank and pluck some algae…

Today I got my arms in the tank… Spent a bit of time pulling out the nasty Algae.
I guess a bigger tank with tangs may take care of that issue. As usual my clunky hands break coral. I just glued the pieces near the colony in which it came from…

The little file fish seems to be doing well. I have not noticed if he is eating Aptasia yet. I had concerns of the flow being to high however he seems to find a place to tuck in when tank water is turbulent. I moved a couple frags that have been in the aquarium for a while which seem like they may not like the original placement. I also wanted to get the Leng Sy cap up a little higher for more light to see if that changes anything.

Looks a little better… Pulled out a cup of Algae. Tough to pull out. It really binds itself into the rock work. Re-arranged a couple items, Moved and glued some broken pieces. I wanted to move the frags that seem to have stalled i growth to see if they just needed a different spot. (This gives me ideas, if I ever start a new tank)

I have had a little unwanted dyno or cyno . Nutrients appear to be Ok from testing. I will have to keep a watchful eye on it…

We had some power outage, yesterday the room was unusually quiet. I noticed the return was not providing water from sump.
After checking the Apex power bar was out. So nothing had power to it for several hours. Making it worse, for over a week Apex was not connecting to Fusion so I had no warning.

The Apex issue kicked me in the butt to figure out what was wrong. Somehow something was corrupt not allowing the link to Fusion to work. I ended up deleting the aquarium set up and recreated a new setup. Fusion is linked again and reconfigured all outlets and equipment. One last thing is to make sure the text alarm is set. The system may be on its own for labor day weekend and it needs to be correct.

Testing shows that the down time did not seem to have caused any issues with the parameters I guess I will find out in a few weeks
The bad thing is that historical data on parameters is lost. As long as the corals are fine that is all that matters…

Anyone need any lemon lime acro? That grows like crazy…

After getting online with Neptune it was determined that the memory in the Apex went out. I have been flying by without Apex for a couple weeks. I bought a used Apex on the marketplace last week...

Hopefully it will arrive and without "issues". I did not want to spend the money however the aquarium is doing well and I would hate to have something go wrong that I could have prevented. Feels like driving without a seat belt

The "new to me" Apex arrived yesterday... I immediately set it up. I am happy that the aquarium is on the controller again. I set for auto shutdown of Kalk and the All for Reef if PH is getting high. Also have shut down set for Temp. Warnings/Alarms when the PH or Temp drops...

Will use this as an opportunity to clean/organize wires/tubes

Getting some Dynos again on the bottom sand... So I have a few things to attend to.

I have not paid much attention to aquarium. Other than making sure the top off, Kalk and auto water change containers had plenty to support.

Yesterday I finally started to pull algae, something that I have to do once a month. I also cleaned the glass and stirred up the sand.

I have plenty more to clean but thought I would just post a photo of whole tank…

I need to get motivated… for the most part it is doing well. A couple of the corals that where repositioned still did not begin to really make any stride. I may put the cali tort that I thought would fade off back up on top.
