Don't ask me, just ask my Hippo & her tang gang! They absolutely love the zoas buffet line! I *had* two zoas colonies on their respective islands and one of the islands disappeared & sank to the bottom of the ocean overnight! Those tangs ate them all. I've managed to relocate the second colony to another tank (yes, there's a small Hippo there, along with other tangs). I'm now zoas-free on the main tank!

Yes - they are cool and add a lot of color to the tank. However, I'm a stick-head so didn't care much for them. It was my wife's zoas garden but now I have a perfect excuse for not growing zoas anymore! lol

Nope. Never have, never will have a zoa or paly. I’m not interested in toxic fauna that need to be pruned! This is a hobby, it should be low stress. There are other pretty corals to choose from.
Plus pest-prone. I’m trying hard to avoid pests.

Most coral are susceptible to pests and/or diseases. Proper husbandry, patience, and research is going to best suit your path to being pest free. I’m sure you’re aware, but starting with a reputable coral dip would work wonders.
