Hello everyone, Casea the Fish Fairy here,

I'm new to the world of forums, so please forgive me as I learn what a thread even is :)

My husband Danny and I have a RedSea Max S650 that has been running a little over 5 years now, though we've had a reef aquarium of some sort for the last 12 years. We started with a 15-Gallon tall Aqueon tank, upgraded to a 46-bowfront within a year, and finally moved into our 180G RedSea 5 years ago. Our mixed reef is now very heavily stocked, so we also recently invested in a 40-gallon Aqueon standard lowboy for our fragging needs as our colonies grow out. We custom-made a sump and stand for it, and successfully drilled it, so overall capacity is closer to 60 gallons. We have a home RO/DI system and use RedSea Blue Bucket salt religiously (we've tried several other salts). We use Hanna for testing, and Brightwell and RedSea for our dosing needs.

Our corals range from Acans to Zoas, with many Goniopora (personal favorite), Montipora, Cyphastrea, Psammacora, Mushrooms, Torches, Duncans, and Leptosceris. We also have Pachyseris and Pleasiastrea colonies, with a few Leptastrea and a Favia or two. I'm likely forgetting someone in my attempt to keep this relatively short.

Our fish are mainly wrasses, like our Mexican Rock, Christmas and Possum, with a few mixed Damsels and an Algae Blenny. We also have a Marine Betta named Starlord that (albeit very passively) rules the tank. Standard cleaning crew of hermits and snails, with a very large coral banded shrimp we've had for nearly 8 years now.

It was recommended that I make an introductory post, seeing as I set this account up 2 years ago while researching new corals and have since been busy maintaining aquariums and living rural farm life. So hopefully this is enough to show I'm not a bot, rather a technophobe who only uses their laptop once a week. Feel free to say hi or ask any questions, I am simply very grateful to be a part of this wonderful reefing community! tempImageSQ4Yw9.png tempImage38XqjH.png StarLord.JPG tempImagevcQFaa.png tempImagezw4upi.png
