Tops have arrived and up. Clearview Lids Pisces EXO! No more jumpers.

Unfortunately the AC in the house went out. Might have to wait a couple of days to go Wrasse hunting.

Red Sea emailed the LFS I bought it from and he forwarded tracking number to me. Patience is bitter, but the fruit is sweet! It wont be long!
haha I might be one of the most impatient people in the world. They told me it was planned to ship Friday so I followed up with the LFS this morning.

Day 3 no AC in the house. It would have to go out on a Friday! AHS doesn't come out on weekends. Luckily it isn't very hot. AC repair suppose to be here this morning.

Doing everything I can to keep tank temps down. Fans and frozen water bottles. Its amazing how hot it gets in the sump area with the doors closed. A fan really helped. I think I will invest in a 9 volt fan for the sump.

The Reefer 250 got to 83 for a short period. The 900 to about 82. Been able to keep the temps close to 80-81 on both now but it is going to be 88 today. Hopefully AC it is fixed today.

Thats scary stuff. I would stay on top of it with ice and fans for sure. Maybe turn off the return and add ice to the display, this way you have less water to cool. Keep power heads going for oxygen

Wrasses and Centropyges are in. Next is Tangs!! Getting ready to add 4 or 5 ALL AT ONCE this weekend.

Learning to work this Camera. Lots of buttons! And they all do something different. And there are a lot of them.
Taking a photography class 30 minutes a week. Its going to take a while to master this lol.:)

Finally did away with the media cups and installed an AquaMaxx XL fluidized carbon filter. Very tight fit! But it fits!

It holds 2.5 liters - 10.5 cups of carbon. That's a lot of carbon and is expensive. I am using Red Sea carbon but may look at less expensive alternative. Red Sea does state theirs lasts longer because of quality.... I shall see.

Get to run 4 socks now. Hopefully they will last a little longer.

Cleaner wrasses have the worst job on the reef. Who else gets slashed just trying to help out?

Nobody beats up on my cleaner shrimp or fire shrimp while they do pedicures all day.

Brother. Set a schedule for all that carbon? I am convinced tequila is good for me, but something about too much of a good thing...

Yes, I was thinking about just that.. Its on a really light weight pump atm. 350 gph and that's kind of low output for tank volume recirculating in the sump. I am considering increasing flow on a timer.

are you happy with those? Looks like it's three sections for easy removal. Do you find it accumulates a lot of condensation on the underside where it would drip all over when you remove them for maintenance or whatever?

No, none at all. If I pull one off I set it on the dinning room table or lean it against the wall.

I think that's the idea with the Pisces EXO model, no condensation, better gas exchange and 50% lighter. It is a little more expensive but it does look cool!

I had on of there lids for the my 750 XXl I sold that a 650P for the new house. anyway long story but got the normal lid in one piece. forgot that I said I was going to get 2 or maybe 3 lids lifting a 5' lid of a tank is a real PITA water get everywhere + full top of tank is open to jumpers while you add your new coral or what not. I think anything over 4' should be split in two. glad you did that.

Could not agree more. The single piece lids for the 525 and 650 are too cumbersome. Mine stays in the closet half the time.
