It's pretty wild to see in person. I might need to figure something out for the flow. On both sides, bottom half of the tank, the currents come across the top and meet in the center. And then head to the bottom half of the tank and flow back to each gyres respectively. I might have to call on @mta_morrow for some guidance to get more random pulsing flow. Rather than the circular pattern I seem to end up with everytime now.

Next priority in the tank is repairing the center brace... and getting this tank covered. I have the glass lids...

Found the strawberry psuedo and Lubbocks Wrasse on the carpet this morning when I woke up. The yellow tang was energetic all over the tank yesterday. Afraid I pulled them from acclimation too soon.

Sigh. Plan is to cut a 3/8 slab of acrylic and drill through my current brace and line up holes with the acrylic and use nylon hardware to stitch it up.

I broke it months ago while scaping and was too ashamed to admit it.

Thanks Si. Bummed and guilty. There will be no more fish additions. The tank will be dismantled and sold by the spring time. That's the plan anyways.

So I do what I always do when I am feeling down. I feed my coral. And then I smile and breathe. And take a ton of pics.

Don't use glass lids. You need the gas exchange. All you want is the clear screen from BRS, and then any screen kit from home depot. Very easy, safe, and won't cause an issue. You can make 2-3 sections, doesn't have to be one big massive one.

I left a 6" section the entire length of the tank under the sump for gas exchange. I thought that would be enough.. I shouldve done the screen when it broke. The upgrade had me flat out. And dcf was up my booty hole. Like I said, negligence.

Don't beat yourself up over it, It sucks but It really doesnt matter you do, if they want out they'll find a way. Could be tightest little gap or when you have the top off for maintenance and your back turned.

Nah, wrasses sometimes jump at the site of their own shadow.... Definitely move forward with a lid of some sort but don't label yourself Jeffrey Dahmer either.
