Vandy wound specialist gave me a ointment to get out on it. She says it has little pac man’s that go and kill bad bacteria and I need to was the bad bacteria off each day in shower then reapply ointment. So Im suppose to get it wet…Can’t feel good ehh?

Little pac man? sounds like they may be on acid

best to keep a dry sterile dressing over the wound site but try to avoid moisture or barrier dressing over the wound

May burn but saran will help alleviate that. We use saran for many wounds

works good but will burn a few seconds. good sterilization of wound

Saline should NOT burn!!!
This is to flush out any debris or particulates from a wound.
Use this generously, but use a scent free, antibacterial handwash before bed.

If you have any “depth” to the wound, try and look to make sure you don’t have any dead tissue hanging around. Try and get it off if you do, but be gentle.

Make sure you gently pack with fresh gauze. If you have any iodine laying around, that’s really good to use.

Make sure you change your bandages enough bud.
