Hi I have had my powder blue tang for 3 years, always active and well fed, I have woke up this morning to find she is hiding behind rocks and has white stringy things attached to her, she is still eating like a pig, and i have tested the water
Salinity is 1.26
Alk at 8
Calc at 450
Mag 1400
Nitrate 5
Phosphate 0.25
Temp is 78
Ph is 8.2
Any ideas as to what this could be as my other fish and corals are not affected

It’s by his eye and fin , it looks like debris as it’s stringy and trying to fall off, but he’s definitely not right as he’s hiding a lot

My angelfish also has pop eye which he has had for about a week, just treating with Epsom salts as I am unable to catch them as the tank has lots of live rock and it’s also a deep tank

Pics are a little dark to clearly see but these guys are susceptible to skin irritation. Need brighter white pics
A video will also help.
Is fish breathing normal or heavy?

It’s most likely flukes from what you are describing. Flukes can cause fish to hide and can also contribute to Popeye. You can treat them in tank with prazipro.

I don't see any problem on your pictures. There is a small fleck of white spot at the 8 o'clock position of the R eye. I am not sure this is what you mean or not. Could be a skin irritation or a spot of Ich.
