I just needed to know if this type of reducer will work for my applicationThere are much cheaper reducing bushings available.
I wouldn't even consider those.
Should be a buck or two tops.
they also make a female 1” to 3/4” reducer bushing that fits inside a female 1” pipe
CHARLOTTE PIPE 1 x 3/4 SCH 40 REDUCER BUSHING SPGXS PRESSURE (1 Unit Piece) https://a.co/d/7pwvqZG
but I dunno, I got the same issue going from my COR pumps to my Red Sea returns and I used a reducer barb fitting …
and in any event, if you are “hard piping” your return, I would reduce it at the pump unless you want to use that fancy 1” red pipe

Wanted schedule 80 to match the plumbing and not have to paint anything lol. Those will work, but you should be able to find those at Lowe's or Home Depot for about $2.00 ea.
And if they're for your returns, you might want to consider 90° fittings instead of straight.
