I have used Chemiclean for years and it does the trick for cyano as well as generally helps with organic crud. No cloudy water but yes massive overflows at initial skimming( I believe you need to skim out excess Chemiclean after the 10-20% water change.
Also add macro algae to your fudge.
I’ve used chemiclean in the past, but cyano always came back after a couple weeks.
As for the fuge: I’m not going to run one again in this life, because my issues in the past 3 years were mainly because of it.

I am so hopeful that my fuge doesn’t cause the problems yours did to your tank.
I thought about my sump and engineered it to have a fuge in front.

I love macroalgae, many kinds, and want to have a pod factory for my future mandarin.

and about the reef roids... I feed my corals that in my 10gallon. It definitely spikes my phosphate the day after I feed. But I also have low phosphate so this is good. I would rather feed roids than dose potassium phosphate. I think corals get more from the roids.

maybe use less roids or only a couple times a week. I now test before the roids, not after.

Yeah, it might be that I've tested 2 hrs after feeding the roids.

About the fuge: I'm pretty sure my case is a 1 out of a 100 case, and not the majority. There are just so many reefs and reefers using fuges and pulling off great results with them, that I don't even yet understand 100% why it had the opposite effect on my system.
