Water change is meant to siphon as many as you can and peroxide is regular 3% you find at a grocery store or Walmart.
As for coral, dinos release low level toxins which upset them. Peroxide is an oxidizer and will offer no harm
Starting to give up here lol, gonna do a 15 gallon water change what else should I do besdie water change and hydrogen peroxide

Im confused- Now here I see cyano. Are you turning off and leaving lights off for a few days? If not, this battle never started. One day alone of no light(blackout should have showed a slight improvement. These pics suggest they are getting their normal light schedule

Lights can stay off for feeding- ambient light in room is sufficient or blue for the duration of feeding only. Two hours of white is enough to give cells energy for reproduction

They are getting normal light schedule now I know I sound really stupid sorry if this is gonna tick you off I guess I rushed through reading the messages. But I’m doing hydrogen tonight and was told to leave lights on so they can come out

Turning lights on does the opposite and peroxide is an oxidizer and does nothing for starving cells
The lights are the issue and addition of bacteria fights the bad cells

I'm not a expert on dinos by a long shot, but I've just recently won my battle with them after 2 months. You're working with a protist not really a algae. Shutting off the lights help but it's more so a band aid and are just suspending the little boogers into the water column. My issue was that I lost a lot of my beneficial bacteria by over skimming and bottoming out my nutrients and that left a niche that the dinos filled. There are different types of dinos, and some treatments work better than others depending on the type. For me I did a pre-emptive 3 day blackout, I introduced 20lbs of live rock from a separate system, change filter socks everyday, dose phytoplankton for a week, and blew off all surfaces in my tank daily sometimes 2 times if needed. Some have had dinos show up for 2 weeks then subside for no reason, but these particular protist have caused many tanks to be shut down, but I encourage you to try to fight it. War has come to your reef sadly :(

Haha, sounds great, will definitely try it. I am doing the peroxide right now and if that does not work within a week or two I will be putting pods in and dosing ocean magik phytoplankton
