Grab one of the junk mail credit card offers that come in the mail for your parents.
Purchase a few thousand dollars from the eBay site that stole your money.
Cancel the card.

I would never do this, but I heard about a guy who did.

bring it on lol GIF by The Leith Agency

It says on the shop app that they shipped the fish.

It could be a fake/empty package, please dispute.

Fake tracking number scam is a known thing on eBay. eBay and 3rd party sites are not allowed access to shipping label specifics. All their systems can do is look for a delivered scan.

So what they can do is ship an envelope with nothing in it or a peice of paper to get a tracking number showing but your item will never actually be shipped.

By the time it arrives, it’s already passed the window.

They can even ship the fake item to a different address but same city and zip code and win an eBay case.

Its possible you are screwed already since they now have something showing shipped but you are basically out of time.

They have not shipped anything yet; they have only created a shipping label. Be aware that this is a method scammers may use. One can create a label, but if the item is never shipped, no charges for the shipment are incurred.

Until it says "we have your package" they have not shipped it.

Also, there's no risk of someone obtaining an address from a tracking number; it only reveals the destination city. Additionally, if they directed you off the eBay site for the sale, you could report them to eBay since this violates eBay's Terms of Service and can lead to their account suspension.

A few notes here in context to several of the above posts.

1 - the "label created" is expected. It is not a red flag and only becomes one if the package never gets tendered.
2 - Yes it is possible that they will ship a partial order or DOA fish, etc. Will discuss this below.
3 - eBay caters to known scammers, they don't care. Money is money and suspending people just cuts into the bottom line.

So back to this situation and my earlier comments. Good scammers know how to play the system. They ship some stuff and not other stuff. They settle some disputes and ensure that they "set you up" for the blame for others. They push shipping windows and arbitration windows, knowing that more people that not will simply get frustrated and walk away. They may use the same merchant account to sell thousands of legitimate items of one kind that they stock to "pad" the complaints and keep the account open, but in the big picture only a portion of their sales are legit and the rest are extremely high margin grift. They use all kinds of practiced tactics to do this.

is this company one of those? Maybe. But one way or the other, given the messages, stolen images, lack of contact info, and the overall big picture they are not a company you should do business with even if your stuff arrives ok. There are too many red flags.

I would keep the dispute open. Only deciding what to do after you receive the shipment. It would be dishonest to try to collect if all arrives well, but I would under no circumstances buy from them again. If you have a DOA or more than one, I would follow through with the dispute. The interaction with the vendor is really bad.

No, they redirected me to their site, however I did use PayPal so I filed a complaint through chase and PayPal for both orders.
Report them to ebay. That violates terms of service and is not permitted. If a store on ebay tries to do that its a scam. Did you use goods and services with pay pal?

I know I sound like a broken record, but eBay doesn't really care 99.999% of the time. They don't like to run sellers off. If the seller completes a transaction outside of eBay, then eBay is not on the hook for the arbitration or the chargeback, etc.

Dr Reef used to be amazing, but from what I've heard, his quality has gone way down. Issues with poorly shipped fish, fish arriving with disease, that sort of thing. I'd go elsewhere.
I don’t want to turn this into a dr reef thread, but the fact that you get ANY fish alive after shipping is beating the odds, no matter who you order from. Dr. Reef provides a top notch service, as do several other reputable QT fish vendors. Using any of them is no guarantee but does increase your odds of getting a healthy fish.

So you’ve heard means nothing. I actually bought a fish from him and it was a great experience.
