I have a Aqua Japan Aquarium Reef PRO 90 Tank that measures 36x24x24. I looked on the website for these lights, but I can not find a coverage spec sheet. I am assuming I will need 2 fixtures. Will 2 be enough or will i need a 3rd?

I want run a nice mixed reef, but it will noy be heavy into sps.I have 1 over a 24x24x24 cube with fill lights. I’d start with 2 and get a 3rd if needed.
But your problem of 2 vs 3 isn’t power, it’s spread. 2 will be plenty unless you’re aiming to cook acros at 450 par. You can add light bars as needed in the future which may do more than a 3rd light in regards to spread.
that build thread is for my deskmate 9g build. im using a noopsyche 7 mini on it.Also saw in your tank thread you were considering kessil vs noop. I started with a used kessil 360x and now my kessil is over the nano and noop over my main tank. Don’t get me wrong, the kessil looks amazing, but power/$, the noop wins. It’s more comparable to a weaker ap9x with less spread, at a fraction of the cost.
If you were going kessil over the 36x24, 1 used ap9x could do the job.
Yea then I’d say 2 plus possible fill lights down the road.I want run a nice mixed reef, but it will noy be heavy into sps.
