Curious what you are using to measure pH? Mine was reading low using some old Aquarium Co-Op test strips I had laying around. Following advice on here I picked up an API Saltwater Master Test kit, and voila my pH measurements were now 8-8.3. With a salinity at 36 the water would be plenty buffered to have correct pH I would think. I am using reef crystals salt fwiw
I’m using Fritz saltwater test kit! But I think my PH is low because it hadn’t even butbup a full week Thursday when the ATO syphened all the water out of it, and just now I went to check on it and the ATO was just running non stop and wouldn’t shut off making it over slow so now my salt is messed up again

This is why I use the simplest form of ATO - the upturned bottle, or as some people like to call it, a glug jug :D

It limits the amount that the ATO can overflow in the event of a malfunction, and mine usually last a few days even with them being small bottles.
