Dave, short of some of the low end and a bit of red/green.

I think you can likely get it close but (depending on how you are setup now).

If your new settings are significantly different, then split the difference and do a small 1 or 2 week acclimation maybe started at 80% or something and then adjust it again to be where you want it and do one more acclimation. Does that make sense?

Here is another video with the LX7506. Damien converted his 7206 to a 7506, replaced the clusters.

What me stuns about this video are the colors of the corals (and fish) and that just 2x LX7 are sufficient to illuminate that size of tank in every corner. And he even doesn't use his LX7 at full power!

See Damien's setup, loaded with GHL technology, here:

@Vinny@GHLUSA - How are we looking on shipping for the upgrades? I think I ordered at the end of May and and 5-8 weeks was the timeframe.

and I am sorry it took that long, we had the usual problem with forwarders, customs, etc. ...
this also effected the outstanding IOND pre-orders

Thank you for the update - I didn't really expect them any sooner given the communicated status when I ordered.

@Gaël -

Question - why no thermal paste between heatsink and MCPCB modules? I know it is not factory, but I really feel the need to add it when I replace the clusters.....

I’m curious to know how you end up liking the new pucks once you are done installing them.
I purchased them on an impulse, mostly because of the enhanced low end UV and bump just above hoping for better coloration but at the same time I am not a windex blue fan.... so hope they have enough white to give some balance.

I am sure that they are great - I am just not sure if I personally can adjust to even bluer than now. Will have to see. I have not had a chance to upgrade, as taking the fixtures down is such a PITA and If I do it in place, I am sure to drop crap in the tank.

I honestly miss the MH phoenix bulbs with actinic fluorescent. Very crisp but not too blue, just a lot of pop

Wonder if you can mix and match the pucks…although channel control wouldn’t work correctly.
I doubt it unless each channel has balanced with regard to power. I guess with power balance settings you could maybe trial and error get things to work, but not worth the hassle I would guess even if you could.

I have 2 6 module fixtures with a 4 module in between. I could leave the 4 module on the older maybe... my plan is to try one to start anyway and see where it bets me.

I have 6 - 6puck fixtures so I’m holding off on swapping all of them out until I see the results or hear how people like em.

Okay - have one of the (3) fixtures upgraded.

Not sure what to think yet. I have been running some variation of the AB+ profile (Telegram, ReefBum) that I have tweaked over the last few years to my liking. The coral pop in their "20K" setup are much whiter and overpowering to what I had set with the older emitters and AB+

Not a bad thing... it just means that I need to do a bit of work to get things balanced and to my liking.

I am not sure if I want to do the other two this evening or wait a few days.

Any updates on your thoughts of how you are liking them?

I have upgraded 2 of the 3 fixtures. I have them somewhat tuned to the same color. The new modules get there with more channels though so higher output for the same ~20K ish color. If that makes sense.
