Hi all, I've recently introduced my final fish into my 33gal which is a Royal Gramma. I currently have 2 Common Clowns & a Bicolour Blenny.

LFS advised the Blenny & Gramma should be ok together as I have plenty of rock and cave choices. Gramma seems to have settled in ok after 24 hours and had even competed at feeding time (not aggressively, just came out of its choice of cave to feed) which I thought was positive.

The Blenny hasn't been particularly aggressive towards him however is swimming around the tank alot more than he normally does. Keeps swimming very close to the Gramma and spooking him back into his cave.

Is it a case of watch them and see howmit goes and things will settle down after a week or two? I didnt have this with the Clowns when Introduced the Blenny as he just got into the rocks and they left him be. Thanks

It sometimes happens with similar coloration in fish, the blenny might view the RG as a threat to its territory. It sounds like its just asserting itself in its territory. RG is often a reclusive fish so it might work out.

Everything seems ok at the moment. Blenny is still cruising past the cave the RG is in and spooking him but theres no sign of him physically hunting him down to attack. Generally staying on opposite sides of the tank for the most part.
