Its kinda of a brand or style of but everyone calls them MPP. They are a controller/inverter. This is the one I have.

It controls and charges the battery, has outlets and usb ports built in so no wiring, and can take solar input to charge the battery or run equipment, all basically out of the box. There are other options that take more DIY, and there are newer versions of the one I have.

For fun here is the battery I have

I'm looking to get a whole home solar backup from Ecoflow. The Delta Pro Ultra...comes with a battery, but might want to link up more batteries. Wonder if I could sequence in one of the batteries you got? Much less money.

You meant Ecotech? How long has it run backing up a pump and what pump does it back up? Wattage?
Yes. When I do a post on my phone it’s a small miracle every word isn’t mistyped. I really should stop.

Anyhow, BB will run a single MP40 for at least a day, maybe longer. I made use of it multiple times before I got the standby

Wow, that Ecotech BB will run it for that long? I have MP60's, so it's gonna be a little less time, but that is great. Some have said to not get the Ecotech, as there are better cheaper options, but seems to me that if it works for you, that's the simplest way to go.

I think it depends a lot on how comfortable you are with DiY. There’s not all that much to the BB. Fancy case, the battery, a trickle charger and some wiring. Although I bought it initially, as I mentioned before, now when the battery approaches end of life I just replace it myself. Much less expensive. But I still use the case, charger and the wiring. YMMV.

ETM claim 20 hrs for the MP60. I used to run those and that seems about right.
