It's 8AM @najer where are my tank wakeup shots? I told you we never sleep over here.

Sorry, the lights don't start until 8-19. ;)

Gorgeous wrasse @najer.

That isn't a flasher, but a Cirrhilabrus rubeus, aka ruby long fin fairy wrasse. It was formerly grouped with C. rubriventralis, the long fin fairy wrasse, but recently got it's own description.

They are middle of the road peaceful as far as fairy wrasse go. I had one until he jumped...:( Got along with everyone. Unfortunatly, fairy wrasse are not much for pest control. Macropharyngodon or Halichoeres would better suit that role. Your M. negrosensis is probably doing his/her job of keeping the MEN problem at bay.

That's the one! I knew it wouldn't be great pest control, bought with my heart not my head. ;)

Oops, right.
The blue-ish shine on the flank and fins of the picture made me think about a flasher.
Thanks for the naming. It is on my list.

Went to my lfs this morning, I took my camera in to take a pic of a certain coral.
After looking at the display I asked the manager where the coral was?
"Insert a frantic 5 minute search for it, found under some zoas on the sand bed!"
I have been threatened with a frag of it for about a year.
If I can stop my hand shaking when I glue it later there will be a pic or 7! ;)

Now some help please, I was surprised to hear that they can't get this eel to feed!
They have had it for 6 weeks now, thoughts anyone, it is about 12 inches? :)

Hands still shaking! :)

That glue work is amazing! I love the laval flow pattern and how it looks like it is flowing through a valley!

Oh, the coral is nice, too. :p

Scopas just stretched it's fins before bedtime!
My tank might only be 1650 mm long, due to the design the swim from front left to front right is around 7 feet! ;)

This is precisely why I enjoy a 48"x24" shallow tank. TONS of swimming space.

Gymnothorax melatremus, Hawaiian golden dwarf moray. My mostest favoritest eel ever!!!

Tell your LFS to go to the fresh seafood market and get calamari squid tentacles. Cut the skirts into one or two tentacles each and try feeding that. Those eels can not resist calimari. Beautiful specimen... I want another one really bad.

Here is Ryujin, my first one.

And Maui, my most recent one

Oh about the calimari... it only lasts for a day or two in the fridge before it goes rancid. Eels have great smell, and it'll know it's bad before you will. Picky eaters... Best to keep it frozen by individual days, and only thaw what you'll immediately feed. I used ice cube trays to put one meal in and freeze that way.

I knew you'd be excited to help here @Robin Haselden . Really a shame you don't have another one yet.

If I had your money, I'd have a GDM harem tank...(yes, they are one of the only species that will live together in a community). Unfortunately, they have gone up in price significantly with the more strict Hawaiian regulations and bans.

Thanks dude, I couldn't remember what you used, I'll get on it later. :)

Longnose hawkfish are one of my favorites. Awesome little fish. Too bad they get a bit big for my tank... and will probably eat shrimp.

Shame, it is a funny little thing. :)

Still practising my free hand fish pics, note to self, don't get to close! ;)
