I'll save you the google search:
Cone snails are highly venomous sea snails with conical shells and colorful patterns. They have a harpoon-like tooth that can inject a neurotoxin that can be dangerous to humans. Their venom inhibits neuromuscular signals in the body, causing numbing and tingling at the site of the bite. Cone snails live in shallow reefs in tropical and subtropical waters, partially buried under coral, rocks, or sandy sediment. Some species have adapted to colder waters
the venom of some species can kill a human with a single sting

Sometimes called cigarette snails because thats supposedly how long you’ll have to live. Enough time to smoke one cigarette.

Or it would be if they injected enough venom but they don’t. Technically the venom of the geography snail is the most potent animal venom but even they can’t kill a human as they inject so little.

Or one of these

Same venom as a rabbitfish, stingray, lion fish, etc. only more lethal because it injects based on pressure and people step on them which is a lot of pressure. The venom is really just painful but it can be so painful it can stop your heart (very rare). Supposedly ten times more painful then a bullet ant. Consider that next time you put your hand in to a tank with a foxface.

Sorry I love toxicology

Yeah, I would add to that saying that they are more dangerous due to their insane camouflage and the fact that they sit in the sand right under your feet.

Did it ever bite you?
Surprisingly no. Him and my Foxfaces always ran away from me instead of towards me. Same with my Clownfish. Although my Mocha and Black Ocellaris come up and snuggle my hand when I'm working in the sump.

I have no context for what is happening lol
Well... you better start reading chap. This place will consume you and then spit you out as a better reefer. And...

You will learn to love the sting of bristle worms... ;)

I eat them like spaghetti.

My foxface loves pets... he is a beautiful gentle little wasp.

whats a CRONIE

IMG_1805.jpeg

I don’t know what a cronie is, I don’t know what an intern is, and I certainly don’t know if I be learned anything. I’m just here for the jokes (at least until the Waffle House returns to normal service).
