On another note, anyone know if I can take 10 to 20 pounds of sand from nags head beach in NC?

I’m not sure if you can take that much sand, but on most beaches in the country it’s illegal unfortunately.

Nags head is absolutely beautiful as is cape Hatteras. I miss both.

It's a grey day now but it could be beautiful with amenable weather. I'm here for obx marathon (except I dropped to the 8k because many reasons.

I love the OBX! We go there every year for vacation! We have a house down there and I really want to live there! No fish stores though. Actually down at bags head they are doing lots reclaimation so the sand is very coarse and the beach is much smaller, up at Corolla they have some nice sand and big beaches!

The pollution, the feet with suntan lotion, and even the runoff that has passed through there, those would keep me from taking that sand. Plus it’s silica sand and not aragonite.
