Plotting how to keep the house and shop warm. 55mph winds possible this weekend and employees at Avista Utilities are worried about losing electricity along with the gas....

Honestly this is a first for us our power grid is very stable historically.

Kathy had an appointment in Springfield today and we had errands to run while we were there. There’s a shop @sfin52 recommended some time ago. It’s quite small but he had a fish we couldn’t leave without. Kathy saw it first though and loved it. It’s a blue velvet damsel. It still has its electric blue streaks and just a touch of yellow left in its now mainly white stripe. So far it looks like the denizens of the deep have accepted him. There was some squabbling earlier but the new guy has made the extreme right hand side of the tank his home.

I know these guys can reach 6 inches in length but I doubt it will get bigger than 4 or 5 inches. Still this fish might just keep the lunare wrasse in check. Dory might too. She was chasing the yellow tailed damsel and the blue velvet damsel for a while there but she was one of the first fish to stop chasing him. The clowns accepted him pretty much from the get go. The yellow tailed damsel still gives a brief chase now and then but not like earlier.

Here are the bumblebee snails. This was taken a few hours ago.

They’re still doing well. They’re on the glass right now, not far from where they were when I released them. They’re doing better than the lay snail I acclimated and released. That one was already falling off the glass after about 2 hours.
yes I have a velvet damsel, it is about 1 1/2 years old with us and is 3 inch easy . It is now black with white stripes and a little blue. Gets along with every fish.

We lived off grid for several years so have a decent plan for running things. We used to use no power wood stoves for primary heat but recently converted to pellet. Still low power consumption to run off generators though.

Walmart did put out 2 pallets of space heaters, at least they did have them about 2 hours ago.

Most of us drive trucks, side by sides, motorcycles, SUV's and the occasional sports car. A few Tesla cars around to remind us poor folks of our place in life lol! The Tesla can't make a trip to Seattle or Portland and back in a day but we all can hahaha!

Believe me I know how to survive no problem but at my age I just prefer not to have to...know what I mean? Hahaha. Thanks about the heads up on the heaters I think we have enough for right now.

True, and I keeping my cash instead of buying a dang tesla or EV that is pretty much worthless when the battery goes and needs to be replaced for 10k or more. Just cause they bought a over priced telsa does not mean they are not broke. Most probably live at home still with mommy and daddy and are car broke...Don't let them get you down...and if you want to look at it another way you probably have a tesla in your room...a tesla fish tank...hahah $$$$$

We keep a bunch of Mr. Heaters around, indoor safe, run on the little propane tanks. 100 mph winds at 0F no power? Fireplace and our Big Buddy's.

And an old craftsman generator for the fish tank lol..
