So last nights progress started as just a simple “I’m going to add some guides for the scales.” And went more like:

“His belly looks odd. The ventral is in the wrong spot. That anal fin is too long. His caudal fin is trash currently. There’s no point. Why didn’t I add the point? I’m ignoring the dorsal still. The main body color is very off so gotta fix that. Oh man his mouth is also bad. I bet if I add the pectoral it’ll look better. Nope. Oh well maybe the belly scales. Oh they look ok I’ll leave them. Those gill plate scales don’t look right. Now that’s better. Hm need to be brighter. Nope not that bright….”

Needless to say a five minute session (for my physical health) turned into working on this all day.

Anyone got any Tylenol? I wonder if a fork in a light socket can work like a full body tens unit lol. In any case I made progress and while I’m not happy, I’m happier. Base body color looks fantastic in real life. And his belly scales are adorable. More blending needs to be done where fins meet the body and of course scales. I hate scales. And yes I did ignore the dorsal still. Don’t judge me.
