I can’t stand these things.. I tested mine earlier and the first one said 23 then 45,23,81,16 I can never get a steady result it’s so annoying

You probably do the same thing I used to do...

Here's how I get repeatable results.
Fill both vials, Insert the first for your C1.
While C1 is reading, with the bottom of the egg flat, add your regent, cap and give it two little shakes.
Take C1 out, put the other vial in. Make sure you don't have any fingerprints on the vial, this is where I get my worst readings.
Set it down, hold the button until the timer hits, and leave it level.

I always used to hold it... then I realized I was moving it around too much and changing the density of the liquid inside.

Interesting… I’ve never seen the counter but I’ll give it a try leaving it on the table.. I do hold it the entire im testing lol.. I have a hi-736 unit.. I do make sure all fingerprints and water spots etc are clean. I only handle the vials by the caps after filling with water and reagents

I do the same thing but i take it a step further i use 10ml syringes and one syringe in each test kit so that way it is the same amount everytime just in case the syringe is off by a little bit ....fill syringe use that to fill the vial so you know everytime it is the same 10ml amount i even have spot on results with the hanna calcium and i check it via salifert and aquaforest test kits every time i grab a new reagent.

Well did a water change today and thought all was going good until i realized......i knocked the skimmer discharge valve off the cup and dumped all the skimmate back into the tank about a weeks worth 3/4 full cup smh.....let it settle gave it 4 hrs and tested.....weird thing is corals seem to be slightly irritated but results look pretty da mn good....

I was shocked but do have what appears to be a bacterial bloom at least i hope it is....

Sold the van today , with the extra set of tires n rims, enough to cover the repair on the truck...
great news!!/ down side want's to pick up Monday morn, so he can get it ready by Sat for the demo derby...
So that means ,all the stove pipe that is going in bsmt ,up to top floor , cannot have in way on either level
while moving every thing...

Time to run the pups, no chair tonight...
toss for 5 mins, hop into garage,make some room ...rinse n repeat for an hour or two ...
then try to sneak in couple hrs sleep, up and emptying van by 6 am CST...
