That's a sexy looking group there.

Ordering weld on now sets me back a week or more, soonest delivery on the 13th or so.

Since this is really just an AIO do you think I'll really have issues from using silicone? If it's because of the acrylic being smooth, would I get better adhesion if I scuffed up the smooth parts between the tape?

I wish I would have mentioned this before today, whoops.
You can pick some up at Clarkston Glass or bring it by my shop and I will weld it for you. I have a tank in process for someone now. Acrylic is my thing as well as Corian products. In most of the day tomorrow. PM me if you like. I can mix you some solvent if you want to glue your own.
I have applicators on hand as well. Just down the river in Clarkston.

I see I am too late. Great job. I was going to send you to the local sign shop in Orofino for the solvent but you found a source!
I do this ALL THE TIME. Still haven't learned.

That's where I found it!!! I called there since I figured they did a bunch of acrylic for all the COVID protection pieces that they're likely the ones who might have some on hand, and I totally scored. The first lady didn't think they had what I asked for, went and asked someone in back and came back to the phone all surprised that's the exact product they use. $22 with the applicator, same price on Amazon and I got it right away, so amazed.

My piece came out great!!

If I would have known you were the guy to see I would have called you first! Thanks for the offer!

Susie Stedman used to have a plastics shop in Lewiston years ago so she is a great resource. The Stedman family are very nice and well know in the area. I sold them my old strip heating table for bending acrylic when I stopped making aquariums for a living. Now it is just a side gig once in awhile.

Wow, and here I was thinking that the Valley was a little small town(s) with nothing fun going on!!

You seem to be quite the resource!

Do you still keep thanks? I didn't see a build thread badge?

I will be venturing to Clarkston today, need to get Easter foods and loads of meat for the new smoker! And I'll likely stop by Bob's and see if I need anything. I told him I was doing the upgrade swap so he's waiting for my fish order. I've been really lucky with all my livestock, I've gotten everything from Bob's apart from a few CUC. I really value our LFS, I try to buy anything I need there as long as they have it.

I have not put up a build thread yet. Just built a tank out of 20 year old scrap that is 48" x 30" x 25" tall. I might do a build thread with it. It is kind of bubbled since I was experimenting with different techniques for practice. Not worried about it structural integrity but not a tank to brag about. I have several glass tanks around for years that are new and a few acrylic tanks. I have given alot of the stuff away over the years. I have 20 year old rock from Fiji in two tanks waiting for a new set up. To busy making counters and showers to mess with tanks much. Well back to the shop for work! Have a great day!

I would love to sit around and pick your brain on all the building techniques you've acquired over the years. Wood has always been my medium.

So the Zoas aren’t opening? The OO Zoas have been closed the hole day. Everything else looks good the new Acan is puffy the Duncan is extended completely and the other Zoas are open as well, (only one head closed). Haven’t tested yet……other than the Calc which is at 460. Anyone have ideas as to why they are closed?

Question.

The fire ice (og heh) zoas are about to overtake the rastas and AOI... That I want to fill out more.

Pull with tweezers? Razor off?

Hassle to glue back down... Already have a grow out.

Cafe, What would you do?
