Well done. Takes forever to be delivered, but I figured out a lot of smaller hardware stores carry it. Maybe call around?

The issue with silicone and acrylic is acrylic has no pores. Therefore there is nothing for silicone to attach to. All you get is a vacuum effect.

It Absolutely could last forever. The baffle could also come loose the first time you start filling it up and there is uneven pressure, or knock part of it with your hand pulling out filter material.. not worth it imho.

Building an AOI drop in is the same really as building out initial baffling for a sump.

Here is mine. Acrylic to Acrylic with WO4. Acrylic to glass with silicone.

Please don't roast me but for my built in sump kit where acrylic met acrylic I just used super glue. It's held up very well.

Please don't roast me but for my built in Affleck kit where acrylic met acrylic I just used super glue. It's held up very well.

I dont think its a big deal, unless we're talking the actual tank. Than people laugh at you.

I don't even Know anyone with a manual any more. Would have much preferred to teach my kids to drive on a Honda or Toyota 5 speed.
