Oh yes, what is popular is certainly a reflection on the people who support it, both for better or worse.
The media reports on what makes them money which is based directly on the interests of the people feeding on it.

I prefer a stance on facts and logical arguments (as hard as these are to determine/find) rather than whims of opinion.

I think the right side pic looks fantastic. The left side looks questionable just behind and below the gills. Almost looks a little sunk in but the right side does not show the same so I am probably seeing shadows.
