What would you suggest ? No qt , maybe buying metroplex and broadcast dosing
Prazi is reef safe. Follow correct dosing. Keep skimmer on, but collection cup off. Hob skimmer is more complicated. 2 treatments are the normal. Its 1 treatment per 10days.

Issues with prazi is oxygen. It's why I keep my skimmer on and lots of surface agitation.

I’ve heard of this when a piece landed directly on a zoa polyp. Another time I think the coral tried to eat it, can’t remember what that coral was. I don’t use this stuff anymore but when I did I would bind the metro to the food using focus by seachem. That way it didn’t go floatin around half as much.

Yes, it can. How often if does, I don't know.

But, did they survive? I am not so sure how safe it is. Binding it is safest, as feeding it to said fish works best. It's the ones that don't eat that need it broadcasted. It's up to the individual to take the risk when using meds in a system.

Some people have used metro to cure dinoflagellates in their reefs.

I asked because I was under the impression that it could be dosed straight to the tank. It does make sense in the way that it effects. Zooxanthellae is a type of dinoflagellates so it would make sense that it may effect coral too.

Don't broadcast dose metro. It can kill coral and inverts.
I've dosed metro straight to the tank with no reaction from coral. Fairly certain they have broadcast dosing instructions on it.

Anything I dose to the tank is very well mixed into a solution of RODI, then mixed into a larger volume of tank water, Then dosed into the return pump chamber and up into the tanks.

There is a thread of it being used in reefs. It could have something to do with well mixing.

I personally never used it in a reef, outside of binding it to food. Probably the best thing to do is mix well.

@dvgyfresh You can probably safely deworm your fish with this advise, no qt needed.
