Hey Steve will you take some photos and/or describe your process of setting up the new tank when you get it. As someone new to SW and on my first tank, I would like to see how you do. As far as I understand, you can just move some live rock over and you’re cycled pretty quick, but I’m curious how you do it and how long you wait to add stuff. Some top down shots I took yesterday
Will do. I’ll be taking some serious chances by adding almost immediately. Fingers crossed. But I’ll definitely take pics. My reputation as a mad photobomber would take a hit if i didn’tHey Steve will you take some photos and/or describe your process of setting up the new tank when you get it. I understand that people do things differently. Some people would transfer water, sand, rock and filter media over and still cycle for months but I think you’ll be fine as long you can get a good amount of live rock in there. Will do. Yeah I’m gonna drop close to 10 lbs of tank rock and a mix of plain dry rock that I have on hand plus some CaribSea LifeRock I picked up. And a bunch of live sand. Picked up 40 lbs. Thinking about a goby shrimp pairing possibly or maybe a jawfish or two.I understand that people do things differently.
