Hello again helpful people! I have a pest living inside two different montipora frags. I believe they may be coral boring spionid worms, but it's hard to get a good look at them. All I can ever see are two white antennae and a tube.
At first, due to the tubes, I thought it was a vermatid snail. I have those too, but now I know this is something different...
On my "plutonium" montipora palawanensis, I tried to poke and stab into the critters home to destroy it on multiple occasions, but it always ended up living... and I did a lot of damage to my frag. I can see the tube it makes, which it rebuilt within 48 hours of me destroying it. This one's in my QT tank.
I have also seen a few pairs of antennae on a "starburst" montipora capricornis in my display tank... This coral looks pretty nice otherwise!
Are these indeed the coral boring spionid worms??
What should I do about them?
Thanks!!
