Lol yep...my nephew keeps wanting to add another clown so he'll have a maited pair...I keep telling him NO! He doesn't realize the aggressive butthole nature of Clowns, especially when they mate. Biggest turds in the tank they are!Great tank, I have the 25 lagoon. I would rethink your stocking choices. Those clowns are small, but when they get to breeding size, gonna be a steel cage match...
Dude I’m currently missing a pink margin fairy wrasse, tank has a lid on it to, makes no sense i actually took all of the rocks out of my tank and put them in buckets, looked at the rocks real good, they can hide in rocks as well but it’s no where to be found, how does this happen makes no sensei just added a pair of clownfish and a 6 line wrasse today, they were fine for about two hours and i came back to them and the wrasse is totally gone, i looked around in the tank and i can't find him. i have a lid on the tank and i checked the chambers in the back and i didn't see him. I also looked around on the outside of the tank to be sure. has anyone else had to deal with this? thanks
yeah i genuinely cannot find him, ive looked where everyone has said to , honestly regret getting him now and i've searched all over the room even though i had a lidSix lines are great at wedging themselves in rock just like triggers. I would think it's a lot more likely he's in a nook over the sand.
No, they do not bury themselves but they do build a mucus coccoon.i looked around the rock too and i still couldn't find him. do they hide in the sand?
A mandarin? They require 55 gal+ tanksMy nephew has a 13.5 Evo Saltwater tank, he has 1 black Ice Clown, 1 mandarin and recently added a baby six line, for almost 2 days we never saw him, fast Forward to 2 weeks later, and dude is a greedy and hungry eater, now he's all over the place and is totally not shy. Give it a few days, if nothing still, then you should worry!
update yall i found him! he was wayyyy inside of a rock, thanks everyone for the help!A mandarin? They require 55 gal+ tanks
YAAY! and np!update yall i found him! he was wayyyy inside of a rock, thanks everyone for the help!
i'm gonna see how he does for now with clownsYAAY! and np!
New mates, most likely no aggression. They all just went in and need to figure each other out and layout of the tank.i'm gonna see how he does for now with clowns
to determine if he can stay, when i added them all yesterday before he went missing i saw 0 signs of aggression but we'll see, but i only planned on adding a bangdai cardinal and then i'm done with fish, after that im gonna put some soft corals in there
Not necessarily.A mandarin? They require 55 gal+ tanks
they need a healthy population of pods to feed on, an ever so growing population, it would be very very difficult to keep a healthy pod pop for a mandarin in this small of a tankNot necessarily.
Most mandarins require frequent feedings (assuming they are conditioned to eat prepared foods), or an ample supply of pods. I said "not necessarily", I didn't say "no"... we don't have any idea what the poster's nephew's pod situation is. Mandarins do not require a large amount of swimming room so, done correctly, they can easily be kept in a smaller tank.w

but thats my opinion, I may be wrong! please correct me if I am
