Quick update so I can track what I am doing or I will forget and end up doing it twice. I’m also in the middle of redoing the downstairs floors

Still on the fence about fish only, @Katrina71 said coral. I saw my favorite trigger this week so I am torn.

I came to a realization also. Man am I old. My favorite damsel is the 3 stripe. I wanted to pick up a school but they were 9.99 each.They used to be 3 for 6.99 a long time ago. The yellow tang was 39. It was 9.99 when I started.

Anyway. Put in 5 emeralds crabs. I usually lose 2 or 3 so,I upped my odds. My tank does not do well with inverts. An awesome delivery from Algea Barn with tons of pods and phytoplankton. My file fish eradicated the aptasia. My purple tang is picking on my butterfly . I’m not worried since the long noise is a tough guy.

I am trying the dr time cocktail to finish of my turf algea. I can see rock now. Once now more algae I have to make the call.

Looks good. I had a few spots of turf algae, peroxide applied directly to the spots knocked it out.

Quick update..
Getting new floors this month, COREtec Amelia oak
Picking up our new mastiff puppy Friday. We are calling her Trixie or Fart. Wife and kid not thrilled with Fart.
Settled on aquascape, dosers are set up. Now admit I may do FOWLR. LFS has a HUmu trigger I want. Anyway, just want to get thru this month alive

Mine is the yellow collar. The breeder had 3 girls, 2 were apricot and the yellow was fawn. My baby I lost years ago was fawn. So this is in her memory. She 8 weeks Friday and 25 lbs.

Last fish update for a while I think. Between pup this Friday and flooring soon time is running out.

These guys just came in,

Potter’s and bi-color, Fox face and goby.

Pix update, running 2 builds at one tough.

I am close to ridding the turf algae. Dino and cyano gone.my fox face decided now was a good time to get ich or brook. Got a bad pic but can’t really see anything. Scored 5 cheap frags from the live sale. They did a nice job, shipping great. These are my test frags before I start stocking once algae all clear. The cinnamon paly really turned around and is coloring up.

i Need ideas on what to do with a 180 gallon tank since reef keeping is not working. Worlds largest gumball machine? I bet a Ehiem 1262 could shoot a gumball 100 feet with no head pressure.

My foxface still has ich, but looks like he’s on the recovery side. My wrasse had to be rescued from the overflow, which was fun. The 5 nice pieces of coral from last auction are 4 now. Forgot I had them and must have lost one in the rock during cleaning. Turf algae putting up a great fight.

BUT..chili tonight so alls good.

I’ve used vibrant, microbacter, dr Tim’s. And given them all a long chance, like months each. Got my Dino under control but not the turf. I got 6 emerald, a rabbit fish and still nothing

May try flucozane (know I spelled it wrong.) what worked for you?

I wanted to give a shout for FluxRX. It almost completely eradicated my turf algae. And there was a lot.

Any way new floors going in Thursday and Friday.

When you realize your tank with turf algae and Dino is the best looking thing in the room.....
