Hi. I am having a Dickens of a time finding pictures of a person with a similar tank to see how they installed the Barb's and braided hosing down inside stand to a sump. If anyone has this tank or similar can u please post sum plumbing pics or a web site. Showing from the bottom tank showing ur plumbing.? Hahhahhaha. Plz? Thanks u. If u can help. It's the last thing I have to do before I can test fill. My sump is all done. Thanks

Not sure if this will help but here is how I plumbed mine.

I chose to hard pipe instead since the drop was so short and I wanted a valve.
Looks like an eshopps? Darn it. I spent a week building a 10 gallon sump, baffles skimmer pump etc. But I went to Lowe's and home Depot to try and find a size converter Barb for hosing... Nada! I think I'm gonna goto a plumbing store next. Thank u!!

Thanks for posting this, I'm about to plumb the exact same tank and skimmer as well. Mind if I reach out with a question or two if I get stuck?

Absolutely, I'm watching this tread so any replies will go straight to my email.

Am I seeing hose clamps on the braided hose connection to your Jabeo return pump??? I would take those babies off and replace with nylon braided clamps before any water hits them.

I'd change those clamps too, all of them. Get them in nylon or zip tie until you can find the proper clamps.

Yup on changing out the stainless steel hose clamps... all of them. Ratcheting plastic hose clamps are the thing to use. BRS sells them, but they want a fortune for them... try an irrigation supply house.

As for plumbing... Here's my old cube:
Herbie_Lower.jpg

The Durso style plumbing was noisy. Not bad, really, but worse than I could stand, with the tank a few feet from where I sit to watch TV. Changed it out to a Herbie style drain. Silence. The valved line and the one in the middle are to the two tank bulkheads, both being used as drains. The 3rd line, with the spa-flex hose, is a return line that went outside the tank and over the rim. Worked great... no noise, reliable, looked pretty good, by the time I got done.

Here's the top, where the return went in:

Any reason you didn’t just drill another hole in the overflow for the third bulkhead?

Tank was in place and filled. Didn't want to break it down to drill it. Outside return was just easier.
