So glad it came safely! It’s hard to capture some of the little details with a photo ;) hows it look under the blues?

*happy dance!*

So I totally meant to take more photos during the build. However I lost my phone during lol. Anyhow, from what I see it’s perfect. No cracks, or breaks. I think the sump has maybe a few scratches but hey, it’s ok. As long as the display is good I could totally care less.

On another note, I was told I need a stool by hubbs and he laughed at me is true I’m so short

Tomorrow I’m going to proceed with moving everyone into it. I’m still working on the money for the light but for now I’ve got the other one. That will have to do for a couple weeks.

So couple questions. How tight do I tighten these pipes. And would this be a concern? On the drain pipe, it’s like the parts were partially glued, and when I undid them, I noticed it’s not smooth. Should I request a new pipe? I don’t want to bust the tank or cause leaks. I can get better photos if need be. This is my first plumbing job so excuse the ignorance. (The O ring is there I just took it off in hopes of a writer photo which I failed at horribly)

I plumbed mine wrongly at first and had to redo it because Waterbox doesn't bother to send any instructions, but this video was helpful once I found it.

My current situation. Lol. It’s filling. I’ve very mad fish and zoas but I think they will appreciate the upgrade. My rockwork isn’t too pleasant, I’ve egg crate to make a ledge. Hoping it’ll blend in eventually. Maybe some zoas will cover it. It’ll work until I can find something better.

I discovered there’s no hole drilled on the door for the magnet. Is this normal? Also how on earth do you get the marks from the plastic wrap off the glass?

Enough questions, on to the tank itself.

She’s up. She’s cloudy. But she’s gorgeous! The fish are in. The lawnmower blenny is constantly on the move. She will settle eventually. The pistol shrimp has found a hole under the rocks and should start her house pretty soon. The clowns are quite pleased. They are STARVING because I haven’t fed them yet. They are withering away guys.

So I’m hoping eventually this ledge will blend in. I’d love to have a rock that’s flat and long to be the shelf itself but this works. I’m not sure if the pj cardinals will like it and that’s not even a concern at this time. What is a concern is the lighting. As you can see it’s not enough and I knew it wouldn’t be. So enjoy some pics, while I go draw this canine for a friend and hopefully get some monies. Then I’ll be halfway there lol.

that ledge is really bugging you! :)

Why couldn't you super glue some rubble rock to mask it? Rubble and a little gel super glue would do wonders.
Haha I didn’t even think about that

Currently (lol) I have the powerheads on the back. What’s the best placement for them? I like them “hidden” but want to also take advantage of the wave feature they have. They are the Current USA 660s. Also, which of the outlet nozzles is better? It seems that the ones that are “pinched” are very strong. The clownfishes seem to be staying more up front. Would the round ones be better to disperse evenly?

Not much of an update. Still trying to dial in the flow with the pump. Super duper clear water though. I have the mesh sock then the felt sock in the sump. Is this correct? Does it matter?

Obligatory FTS.
