I’m guessing it would be a good choice for mixed reef. We are struggling with flow since we are primarily lps. It’s hard to find the right balance with flow for both in one tank.

Mixed reefs are def a little tougher. The nutrients cant be too high, but cant be too low either. If your sps are happy, your lps (especially euphyllia) are generally, not lolI’m guessing it would be a good choice for mixed reef. We are struggling with flow since we are primarily lps. Thanks for the input. t is appreciated. I know we have one, but I don’t think it’s the same that as your teaser. Again, beautiful piece.Mixed reefs are def a little tougher. With the digi though, it doesnt need super high flow, or light like most sps. Its more like a lps care.
Good for you! I had them 6 months in my last tank. It was awful! After fighting dinos for months, I'm finally ready for some restocking. I'm glad it's timed with an LRO sale!
Worst part was I thought it was cyano. Did a cyano treatment accordingly and WHAM disasterGood for you! I had them 6 months in my last tank. It was awful!
I think ours was caused by a cyano treatment and then got hit with two types of Dino’s. I may still be picking gorilla crabs out of my live rock and sand in my new tank but, I won’t do it another way. I attribute all those issues to dry rock/ sand.Worst part was I thought it was cyano. Yes this is my first dry rock tank and 100% the root cause. Sorry to hijack the thread LROI think ours was caused by a cyano treatment and then got hit with two types of Dino’s. No worries!! THats what we are all here for, to help and discuss all things salty. I can contribute to the dry rock fiasco, there really just isnt the options like there used to be a few years ago for rock. The systems run so sterile now due to the lack of beneficial bacteria and it takes years, it seems for systems to really mature and take off. We started a couple of farm systems with the dry white rock and it was just issues after issues, dinos, cyano, phos issues, weve had to deal with all of it. It was til about a year and a half in that the system started to stabliize. Pods and phyto do wonders for a sterile reef!Yes this is my first dry rock tank and 100% the root cause.
