GIVEAWAY TIME!!

Tell me what you look for when picking which vendors to shop with.

Winner gets picked at 4:45pm est and will win a $25 gift card.
If I am ordering online, I mainly base it on reviews and general reception from people in the hobby. There are often threads about most stores in my area so I like to check them out before I purchase. In-store is mainly based on atmosphere, cleanliness, and reception. I enjoy talking to people so if staff are friendly and helpful I am much more likely to purchase something. If the tanks are a disaster and full of noticeable pests or unhealthy-looking coral/fish then that is typically a no for me.

What's the difference for a newbie like me?
Echinata are encrusting and very forgiving. Some people have some difficulties with chalice and grow in a more plating pattern.

For me it’s all about customer service and the way a company treats you. They treat you like a person instead of a $ sign

I’m also dreaming of something bigger than my 240.
Word to the wise for any newbies, start out with at least 800 gallons lol

Haha my wife is already prepared to kill me. I think I can get close to 400 though by staying with wide tank. Also only buy in cash and ask for no documentation

We tried that scenario. This is how our dogs like to "watch" the second tank . Maybe the cats will enjoy it more ‍♀️View attachment 2864625
Our cat actually does watch both the 13.5gal saltwater and my 60 gal chilid/ turtle tank at night. My mother used to call the turtle tank "Kitty TV" when I was away for college 15 years ago LOL

Healthy selection, not the normal stuff you see everywhere, clean collector pieces and healthy fish at fair prices. All which I find at LRO

Haha I only have a 13.5... I would love a bigger tank but know I will have to move in 3 and a half years and it will be too much to move and too sad to tear it down.
I’m moving in March. When I say I’m I really mean LRO will be moving the tank 6.6 miles lol

That’s smart! Lol My hubby is my reefing partner in crime so I don’t get too much push back. The only down side is we both have a tendency to over spend. Haha

If they welcome my dogs in the store and farm, I'll always return.

In all seriousness, how they treat their customers, especially when they take the time to get to know you and your tank.

I’m lucky my wife just observes and tells me she likes this and that. Also everything is $20
