I love that this hobby is equal opportunity for all. Success is largely dependent on your hard work, research, and time spent. It doesn't require some innate skill or gift. Anyone can get into this. I seen beautiful low cost low maintenance tanks. I seen amazing over the top tanks with latest equipments and high end corals.

I'm a huge nerd.
I thrive on learning something new and mastering it.
This hobby is one where I feel NO ONE has mastered it, except of course, for the ocean.
I love how much I have learned just from this forum and
the people on it (both online and in person).
I love how much I STILL have left to learn,
because compared to most, I'm still quite a novice.

I love the science and husbandry involved, like taking parameters, feeding, and watching them respond. I love that after a hectic day, I can just watch my tank and relax

I love the way that each coral and fish seem to have a personality and no matter how bad of a day I had I can relax in front of my tanks

I'm similar here. I love the diversity available. Each coral, each fish is unique to itself all while being part of a whole. I love how that diversity is critical to a well functioning ecosystem. And I love how this hobby has helped me come to understand the world I live in better.

Also the friends I've made here. Who can argue with them.

I enjoy the peacefulness after a long day. Just sitting back and watching the corals sway back and fourth in the current, and how the fish just seem to float in mid air. Also love all the colors and patterns that show up. How no two pieces are identical.
