I'm in the process of planning a tattoo and want to give the artist a reference picture. Hopefully you can help me find that picture:

1) Good image quality (not blurry, higher res the better)
2) Must show zoas, torches (no hammers, sorry!) and branching sps (acro, seriatopora, stylo)
3) Legally ok to use. This is just for their reference and understanding - is that a thing for a tattoo? No idea

And that's it!

I thought this would be easy but I've had a surprisingly difficult time finding pictures of this. I've gone through some of the RotM pictures here, and also tidal gardens insta, wwc insta. Still looking. Any help would be appreciated

Doing that now and have been doing it. I find lots of euphyllia gardens opposed to just torches.

Also I'd like acro colonies and lots of those are full tank shots which loses the higher resolution

Probably would look better if you just pick a couple/few corals/fish you like and let the artist put a composition together for you, unless you are getting a back piece, you are not going to get the detail in a full aquarium type tattoo, if you go for a smaller sized tattoo.

Exactly. I've given him this reference so far. Color palette will be different - more vibrant colors. Zoas instead of montis and torches instead of half of those acros.

Along with 2 clownfish that have some clown-like reference (a balloon or something) and a flame hawkfish. He has free artistic liberty to do what he wants with those

I'm still looking :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes:

In that case, might be a good idea to list exactly what corals and fish you want and ask for good individual pictures of those, then all you and the artist has to do is compose how you want them on your body.
