I orderd 2 fish from livaquaria and they never notified me it had shipped. I never got any tracking number or estimation for when it would ship. All I got was an order confirmation right after I placed it. I work full time so I was planning to take work off when the order shipped so I could be available when it arrived. Instead I came home to find a box that had been sitting on my porch for 4 hours, and both fish were dead. I can't think of the last time I orderd anything online where I wasn't notified when it was shipped, much less when something living was being shipped. Has anyone else had a similar experience? And do I have any options to get a refund?

You have a valid point about notification or atleast a call or email to let client know when to expect a shipment.
Although being in business of shipping live fish ourself, to their deffence, fish box sitting out on porch for 4 hrs wouldnt be the killing factor. We have done a lot of experiments on boxes and they can maintain hours and hours of satisfactory temp even when subjected to harsh climate. Fish likely died along the way some point but I personally dont think the 4 hrs on porch was the main cause. In some cases it took 10-12 hrs before temp start to increase or decrease.
Either way I would contact them and let them know what happened and both fish are doa and I am pretty sure they will take care of you.
