LED'S supplements for MH lightning fixture

Hello everyone, I have SPS dominate tank ,powerd by 2×250w MH bulbs (14k , hamilton )
with 6 T5 bulbs (24w each).
The corals feeling very good , but I do miss the extra "pop" that leds have.
Tank dimensions are:
140 cm long
70 cm wide
55 cm high
I have 3 options , led bars (Reef Brite) , but I don't know which type will be better for my tank.
I don't want that the lighting intensity will be "over kill" for my tank.
please help me to choose the right type for me.

There’s not an Led bar on the market that will be able to make a difference when those halides are on. If you want blue led effect alone after the main photoperiod is done, a couple reef brites would be fine. There are cheaper options out there from Ali express

By what people say, the Reef Brite XHOs is the one to be used with MHs. Some say there is a visual difference when you turn ON/OFF those HXOs, but IMHO unnecessary, specially if you have/put some ATI Blue Plus bulbs to give you some additional blue. ATI Blue Plus is one of the best bulbs ever made and it's qualities surpass any LEDs in terms of offering substantial quality light to the system. The XHO was designed to mimic (or as Tullio prefer to say: "substitute") VHO lamps. So if you really NEED use some LEDs for whatever reason you find, the XHOs would be the best choice. I gave up long time ago finding any LED that would add anything to any of my T5 only or MH/T5 setups here.

I run Ali express bars (by popbloom) on my tank and for there is a noticeable difference. I think if I was to order again, I’d spend the extra to get it customized as certain colors don’t pop as strong in my opinion. As for ReefBrite specifically, I’ve heard a lot of good things about the XHO’s

in their website , reef brite says that they recommend to install the lumilite pro actinic with MH , and not the XHO.

I use Quanta Pro Meso Blue bars with my 14k Hamilton’s and it’s a great combo. I get the pop before and after the halides are on and they have better spread and punch compared to other bars. XHO’s are nice, but I think there are better options that are less expensive.

If your goal is actinic lighting when your main t5/mh is off, you can use cheap light's to get the effect.

Don't pay for PAR you don't need. Unless the cash is burning a hole in your pocket.

I’ve run reef brite xho and orphek LEDs with 20k halides and 2 blue plus t5. The LED strips do make a visual difference. That being said, I would think a weaker LED strip would add less blue.

It also somewhat depends on height one is hanging them.

You don't necessarily want tight lensed diode hung close to the surface.

Don't want 120 degree bars hung too high with more light spilling out than in.

Then there is spectrum.

in my experience, SPS take their time in coloration, and that is depend not only about lighting fixture - but related to NO3, PO4 and other trace elements in the water.

If you want more pop all of the time, run the LED bars all day. Then run halides part of the day and T5 part of the day.
