well i was in bed almost asleep at 415 in the morning when i hear water as if it is being dumped or pouring.. of course i am like OH NO something is wrong so i jump up and turn on light.. nope tanks are fine.. seems one of the new sand sifters i got who I had only seen once since putting him in the tank Thursday night decided to make an appearance with some splashing at the top of the tank.. yup i have covers thankfully or I have no doubt he would have commited suicide.. but he did scare me and 2 of the dogs good.. of course the lil buggard just went down to the bed of the tank n stared at me like what is your problem.. now hopefully my other sifters will make an appearance soon.. of course in a less dramatic manner. :fish:

Haha :) . Do you dogs stare at the fish weird with their crooked faces? Like what the heck is that? My dogs still do that with my koi pond and my tank lol.

There is no sound for an aquarist like loud water sounds in the middle of the night!! We once had a 70g FW Discus tank separate at the corner. I was 6 days post c section. Luckily my aunt was there and held the sides of the tank together while I caught the water in 5 gal containers and carried to the patio off our bedroom (the tank was in our bedroom) to dump. Then I had to catch the Discus and place in a 55 gal tank. I am very fortunate I did not dehisc my C Section wound!! That baby is now 33. My Yorkipoo pays no attention to my tanks.

My wife has had C sections as well. I bet that really hurt to bend and work on the tank. My wife said it feels like your stomach muscles are tearing apart.

It was not fun, but the day I got out of the hospital with the C section, I had my 15 yo sister, who had her permit, drive me to Raleigh Springs Mall in Memphis to return the girl clothes I had gotten at my showers. I ended up having a 9lb 13oz baby boy instead. It was scaring my aunt to death. Having dealt with so many folks now with wound dehisc on wound vacs, I would not try it again. Older and wiser now. LOL.

I had 2 ACL reconstructions in my mid and late 40's. and a SLAP injury of my left shoulder repaired (torn labrum) in my 50's. All my stuff happened in my 40's and 50's. I guess my life is too exciting. First ACL throwing leg over back of horse (probably had partially torn that one shooting the rapids on the Ocoee a couple of weeks before). Second one standing in knee deep surf at Brenneckes Beach on Kauai. Wave knocked me over and popped the ACL in my other knee. Then in 2008 I was exiting the water after snorkeling on Vieques PR and fell on rocks with my shoulder. That was the most painful. However, I still finished that horseback ride, went diving on Kauai with the torn ACL and also went diving on Vieques with the SLAP injury. Accident prone, who me? Oh and I never mentioned the tibial plateau fracture just 4 months after the second ACL surgery on the knee where I had the first ACL surgery. I am held together with screws and wires. LOL

Soooo... back on topic :gossip: (Not to be insensitive as my wife is currently prego with twins) I was wondering why i kept seeing drip spots on my glass and freaking out because, I thought it overflowed. Could not find any proof that was the case, so went about doing some piddling and started getting splashed.... first a drip or two.... looked up...saw nothing....then looked up again just as my yellow coris trash out a nice one at me... either he was hugary, or he dosn't like me for some reason.... i'm starting to dislike him tho as I now have to clean drip spots off the glass regularly... seems that the guy found himself a hobby :p

Thank you... We found out Tuesday that they are identical and we think they are boys... but at only 13 weeks, we are not 100% sure.

Funny, it seems that when you 1st get a fish that they are skittish and have no personality... but we soon realize that all have their own personalities...Like when I'm feeding my LPS... I litterally have to batlle with my dottyback, melanarus and file fish.... even smack em with the baster... but they still come back for more... I literally have to hover over the target coral until they have consumed the food... I'll keep the baster full of water and shoot it at the hovering sharks :fish2:
