Had a six line wrasse years back that always greeted me soon as I walked up to the tank. All fins would flutter and he would raise his dorsal up and down in excitement. Always like he was happy I returned. He had lots of personality and it was really enjoyable to watch him patrol through his aqua scape. Whenever I added something new, like a coral, he would look it over for a while, either in awe of its beauty like me or perhaps searching it for a possible meal.
It's funny because they are really loners in the tank doing their thing hunting pests but then they develop an attachment to you

This thread is why I absolutely love fish.

Poor clowns hopefully he vacates their premises soon! Lol
It was kind of funny because at first it was bewilderment, then it became frustration for them and finished up with anger with the trespassing urchin.

I own a filefish who is obsessed with the seaweed clip. He sleeps on it, which I find strange, and he swims in circles around the seaweed clip when he’s hungry.

This one also cracks me up. My horseshoe crab, Lady, cant get by one part of my rock structure. Takes her a minute to get around it. She does this all day long instead of going around. I mean its only a 300 gallon tank!!! Lol
I haven't looked into it, so I'll just ask you. My next build is gonna be a 48x39x25 (203g). Good enough for a horseshoe?

For a while probably, Ive had mine for two years now, she was in my 125 gallon (hitch hiker actually) but they do get large which is why Ive talked to my local aquarium. To be honest everyone says they are almost impossible to keep but shes the hardiest thing in my tank, sole survivor of a power outage that killed my whole tank and a cucumber nuking… I will say mine crawls and swims the full 8 foot length of my 300 gallon so Im not honestly sure how long that would be able to keep one happy

Well not really funny but still is. Last week I had the lid off doing some work in the tank. I saw my blue streak cleaner wrasse accelerate to Mach 5 turbo in the water. He then went straight up and flew over the top of me like a dolphin. I'm 6' tall and he cleared my head by 2 feet. It was like in slow motion as I watched him fly over me and land 8 feet behind me on the carpet. I picked him up and dropped him back in and he is fine now.

Lol the one fish I had jump I totally let hit the ground on purpose. She was a mean clownfish! I was working on the opposite side of the tank (six footer at the time) and this B-word darts over and tries to get me! I see her coming and move my hands out of the tank and she goes flying trying to bite me! Never did that again after she hit the hard wood floor
