Thank you for reaching out to us. Looks like you have an older unit with old firmware v2.1 that won't allow you to update to the latest firmware v4.2. Please note that this new update will clear all connection history and programs, you can backup your programs to the cloud first (App menu --> Login to social media --> Settings --> Backup to Cloud --> "Programs Only")

Please update your AP700 to the firmware v3.4 first, and then update to the latest. Please follow below instructions

- Please download the attached firmware file to your computer and follow the below instructions to update the AP700.

- Download the Firmware Update Tool on http://www.kessil.com/support/downloads.php under "AP700" --> "Firmware for Windows".

- Open the Firmware Update Tool on your computer.

- Plug in the USB cable to the computer and to the AP700. Make sure the AP700 is with power. You should see the Kessil SSID and the firmware version of your AP700 on the Firmware Update Tool.

- Click Off-Line Update and choose the .hex file you downloaded.

- Complete the firmware update process and then you will see Firmware Version as v3.4

- Make sure the light is functional. If so, please check the Firmware Update Tool again, it should show "Highly Recommended" and allows you to update to v4.2 *** Please note that this update will clear all connection history and programs ***

I use a mac, but I have found that their support is excellent. You can email or call them tomorrow.

Problem was firmware related. Called Kessil. They emailed me the firmware file to manually update.... then was able to update online the rest of the way.

All working normally. Man their customer service is awesome.

Nice - same experience that I had with their support. Love my AP700s - as do my SPS, LPS and Softies.

Understood this is an old thread. I am looking for the AP700 2.x and 3.x firmware. My light still with the original firmware 1.x Kessil doesn't have the older firmware anymore. Therefore I am stucked. I hope one of you still have those firmware and be able to send to me.

I have this same issue with my AP700 I have a firmware version V1.0.5 and have contacted Kessil but have not heard back yet. If you still have the firmware update files I'd be hugely appreciative if I could obtain them from you?
I bought these fixtures years ago and only recently realized how far behind I was on the firmware. I'm having problems connecting to the fixtures to do anything with them... the google play app just keeps disconnecting over and over when following the reset process on them!
