Just took over and bought this 90g cube tank that has some issues. Have some algae going on and some bully clowns I gotta figure out. Doing a large water change tomorrow and going to try and find another tank for my breeding clowns soon as I hate to get rid of them. The female is approx 5" already. May try the 3% peroxide tx to see if it helps eradicate algae. Would love tips on lighting or any other topics. Really hoping to win one of these awesome contests so I can get new coral, etc. Thanks in advance!!

Check out this cool contest!!

Be very careful with peroxide treatments.
It kills both bad and good algae, so IMM, is counterproductive.

Put all parameters in check, ensure their stability, dose phytoplankton and let develop those algae and bacterias which will, in time, outcompete the bad guys.

Even though it’s an established tank, if it has been moved, let it settle out.

I also see a macro algae grow light, macro-algae use is a great way to outcompete pest algaes in your DT.

Update: Well, come a long way from my 90g. Just had a 220g resealed and got it set up yesterday. Has a 60g sump and fingers crossed, it holds water for a lot longer this time. The 90 has turned into a mixed reef system with all types of sps, softies, you name it. Loving the hobby more this time around with all the different options. Lucky enough to win a $250 frag pack from Riptide Aquaculture - oh yeah!! Still need to upgrade some of my current powerheads on the bigger tank. Running two mp40's on my 90, but thinking of doing the gyre style this time around with the bigger tank. Thanks for checking out my update! While you're browsing, check out this awesome giveaway that I could only dream of winning!!! https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/t...giveaway-10-winners-10-000-in-prizes.1032747/
