Now I want one. I wonder if it will get along with the Sherman
That's a good question. I declined a green BTA because I didn't want to rock the boat. The two were fine, so sticking with that. I run carbon regularly, don't know if that helps

Back in California. Now for the goals of the week:
1. PICK UP NEW 83 GAL TANK + STAND + 29 GAL SUMP + PLUMBING + ATO + RETURN PUMP WOOOOOOOOOO!
2. Run some tests on the office tanks for crying out loud!
3. Pack up because I'm leaving for England on Friday == only 2 days with my beloved (wife? tank? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ) :loudly-crying-face:
Choosing England over the OC coral show....
Where are your priorities?

So, how many wrasses will you put into the 83G? ;)
50-60? Maybe even 70?
First I need a wrasse-safe lid, then to set up the QT. Have to see how successful the QT for wrasses is. Aiming for wrasse dominant but definitely with a foxface and want to see if I can have a happy CBB. For wrasses, basically

- any Pseudojuloides I can find
- M. negrosensis
- Got a lead on a babi
- H. iridis
- Lookout for a H. lapillus as the tank's crown jewels
- fairies/flashers--the price tag on an attenuatis is insane, so probably scratch that. A bathyphilus, rhomboidalis, lubbocki, rubeus, exquisitus, and maybe a labouti on the list. A lot depends on what I can find. When we get to the fairies/flashers the numbers can start adding up!

So that’s an 80?
40, 80, when’s the 160?

Or the 240?

Technically I had ~20g in 2022 (Evo + IM 10g), 40g 2023, ~80g 2024, so by the base 2 logarithmic pattern of my tanks...

2025 - 160g
2026 - 320g
2027 - 640g
2028 - 1280g
2029 - LA Times reports middle-aged man murdered in home next to laptop; custom aquarium checkout webpage left open; wife devastated and has no idea who would do such a thing.

Now for the real work...
Well, I spent 4 hours yesterday evening helping a friend plumb his tank (that I spent 6 hours two days before leaving for Hawaii get into his house and partially filled/setup).

Man... I have heard Hawaii is rough this time of year... My thoughts and prayers go out to you...
So... are you going to bring home a yellow tang? Which, if you catch it yourself for personal use, is legal to do...

The rough part is, I was in Hawaii last week. I'm home now and have been since last Saturday morning.

I didn't see any yellow tangs while in the water but really considered bringing home a couple of Achilles Tangs and some of the wrasses. My wife, unfortunately, was not agreeable.

Probably for the best. I can't imagine the drama on the wrasse lover's thread if you came home with a jordani or a Potter's. Probably need the help of the witness protection services.

I don't believe I saw any of those unfortunately. I was in a school of either 4 Stripe or 8 Stripe. Saw several Coris varieties, and lots of Surge Wrasses. I even found 1 Cleaner Wrasse station.
