This is great information. The thought of photo editing never even crossed my mind...‍I will definitely be more skeptical of Vendor photos going forward.

You gotta be careful…this vendor even promised that the torch is orange, insisted it’s not yellow or gold…I paid $400 for this

And then they bagged up their gold torch and sent me this

In my opinion (yes it counts!) it looks better in your tank than the photo.

The coral vendor pic looks like a new york knicks. Still really expensive today. Im seeing more golds pop up, less oranges. Yuh, id dispute that too

Both those photos look yellow. I guess yellow and gold are close. But the tips on the photo 100% white and yours are not

Notice the tips on the photo are white, but the listing title says blue tips.

The photo is highly edited. My pictures are accurate to real life, and under blue light the tips are blue, just like my blue light photo shows.

It looks like they didn't send you the wrong torch, just that their photo is extremely edited. I would be hesitant with that vendor in the future.

Ahhh under blue lights only. That I believe. When lighting the corals up at night under a straight aqua blue light I get colors I don’t see under my AI settings - which are

The aqua blue light added to the above also brings out different colors

But vendors shouldn’t be using a light scheme to take photos that we wont ever see.

The vendors I buy from seem to take appropriate photos.

My LFS light set up isn’t quite what I run and find I get better colors in my tank

If torches also…look into Todd’s torch or a cotton candy! Brilliant shades of bright green

That’s one I’m not fond of… I do have two frogs that are green…

I want to collect all the colors though so @JoJosReef I’ll make my own rainbow darn it!!! Lol

I do like the "jade" torches they sell in some vendors, but as far as torches go, I'm happy with my free torch I got from a local reefer when I bought some rocks:

I also like the gold octospawn:

And my green/purple hammer isn't fantastic under the current light, but I like it. Looks better under windex.
