We’ve got a discussion going on in the wrasse lovers thread. I’m letting @i cant think do the talking as we all know I keep too many wrasse. I don’t know when to stop

Made it back from vacation and rushed into the office to top off waters, food and dosing in case they were empty. To my surprise, everything in the tank looks OK! The SPS even look like they're sprouting new branches!!

It's late, so photos are taken in sunset mode and the wrasses are long asleep in the sand.

Both digis sprouting new branches and birdsnest frags still alive, although one piece got knocked over. Goldenrod and stylo still looking OK to me.

Even the psammy is branching! I should go on vacay more often

Base of this acro is not looking good, and there is an Aiptasia growing behind it. No bueno. Tomorrow I'm hitting it with boiling water.

Mushrooms also taking off. Now have 2 green carpet shrooms and 3 "superman" rhodactis. The regular green rhodactis is looking better than when it went into the tank, can't complain. Still struggling with the octospawn, but it hasn't given up yet--polyps are out a bit more during the daytime.

Pectinia, which now has an entire corner of the tank all to itself, has been getting much bigger than the sliver it was when it was added to the tank and went from 1 eye to 4. I do love these pectinias, even if they take up too much real estate (@Goaway ).

Bad news is that the 10g frag tank is crashing. It doesn't have an adequate ATO for such a long time away, so I saran-wrapped the lid to prevent evaporation. The birdsnest and alveopora are toast, the glass is covered in film algae, and it looks like cyano is starting. Chemiclean on the way, not dealing with nutrient management since there's barely anything in the tank. Zoas still look alive, but not at all happy. I've got a lot of learning to do in terms of frag tank management.

A gorg fell over onto the favia and green RFA and looks ticked off, but I found a bristleworm underneath it and helped it out of the tank. Maybe the wrasses are digging around and knocked it over.

Overall, glad that the display tank is looking good after 9 days away!

FYI, if anyone is looking for the 3D printed Eheim feeder stand I use, @TatorTaco , I bought it from Printed3d.Parts:

Rim Mountable Horizontal Feeder Platform | Printed3D.Parts

This is a horizontal platform that mounts on the rim allowing for feeder placement. It has two screws to allow it to clamp down on the tank. The screws can be on the water side so when clamped in place it's more pulled in over the water or they can be moved on the outside.

Can you get a reasonable picture at a sharper angle? Mostly the frogspawn, plate, trachy, and scoli. Also let us not forget about the conch!

but to answer your question I love the toadstool. It really pops in your lighting with great contrast between the polyps and body.
