Definitely be using your scape for inspiration when I finally set the big one up. Quick image of the current small one then i'll stop jacking your thread, only put the XR30 on a month back, sticks are still colouring up, nothing like the examples you've got :/

Aight, still haven't worked out linking on this site yet lol...

The XR30 will make it more difficult. I was very disappointed with this light over my frag tank.

No tank thread:9( Just way too busy:9( Finally got several frags off the sandbed:0) However, I no sooner get them on the rock and they're back on the sand! Darn snails and crabs! Need to just make some time for gluing. Stocking the tank makes it also to where there are frags on the sandbed all the time so it doesn't look good enough for pictures. I imagine it will be quite some time before I take a picture or 2. Besides, the 180 will never get anywhere near as beautiful as yours! Catch you later Rich when I watch the video of your tank!! hint, hint! :0)

I will post a video soon :)

Amazing Tank I have bin following your posts for some time lots of good info. I have a supergirl frag as well amazing coral debating on moving her up into a higher par area now that I have plenty of nutrients in my system. I like your BubbleKing I had a aquamaxx Co-3 on my system did a ok job.I bought a used vertex alpha 170 the older RE manufactured one and there is no comparison to what it removes the high end skimmers are not just a price tag thats for sure. Is that a co2 scrubber in your sump pic?

The BK skimmers are great, but they price is crazy. There are comparable performing skimmers on the market for half of the price. I purchased the BK because I sold a bunch of frags to pay for it lol
Great pics. and Thank you for sharing your camera setting.

No problem. Hope it helps you.

AWESOME!!!! Where did you get the purple monster from?

It came from a good friend who got it from Copps over on RC.

HI Rich,

Follow your tank all the way from RC and here. Took your advice dosing Biodigest fight against red slime. I'll say it works pretty well. One question from me is I saw you dosing multiple kind of bacteria products rather than just one. Do you think multiple kind bacteria will fight against each other? Did you ever try stop dosing one kind of bacteria see any impact? Do you consider these bacteria are food for SPS?

I saw you have lots of live rocks in your sump, do you still have it. Do you clean them?

Thanks,
ZZ

Hi ZZ,

The SPS definitely feed on them from what I can see. I'm not sure if the different bacteria sources fight with each other, but I see no negative effects from what i can tell. Dosing bacteria with the addition a carbon source bring your SPS color and growth to a whole new level, IF you keep your tank properly fed, stocked, and stable with a small nutrient level . These bacterias and carbon sources really clean up your tank. If the tank becomes sterile you'll encounter all kind of problems. The addition of special blend bacteria really adds something since it's that bacteria that while out my cyano.
The live rock in my sump is elevated on a small platform. Any detritus falls to the bottom, and i shop vac it out with each water change. The rock stays fairly clean in there .

It's been a while since I did a real updated. Much has changed. I lost several colonies in the spring due to a busy work schedule. Everything is back on track now. I switch lighting to a 10 bulb ATI powermodule + led reefbrites for added pop. The is what it looks like now.

Beautiful!!!
thank you
Wow! Sick! Did you change your light fixture to achieve the ten bulbs?

I was running a geismann spectra 400w radium + 4xt5 and switched to a 10 bulbs ati powermodule, which is now discontinued (don't know why). I wanted better coverage and growth since I lost some of my colonies. Growth has taken off since going all T5.

Thank you. I'm not an LED fan at all, but with T5 increasing the coverage I have seen good results.

Colors are lighter on some pieces right now. I did a 3 day blackout which didn't help much either. Going to need more time. Growth has exploded though. I had to increase 2 part dosage by 30ml each part over the last month.

Hmmm... T5s instead of MH? You!?
Anyway, your tank looking great!

I still have the Giesemann Mark ;). I have play believed T5 gave the best growth, but I still feel that 400w radium can't be matched colorwise. We'll see what happens. I may switch back in future months ;)
