Welcome to Reef2Reef!

I am a freshwater keeper too, and indeed threads about freshwater do come up from time to time.

I wish R2R had a freshwater section. And maybe an "off topic" section. R2R is the only social media I do lol!

And, I like those shrimp, I have kept them before, and now have a small tank with some Amano shrimp.

Good Luck!
nice, do you think i could keep a female betta with them, in the area where i live there is a man with a female betta ferernity that live with shrimp but they live in a 30 gallon, do you think one would work in a 3 gallon

Welcome to R2R! Plenty of amazing shrimp on this side of the fence lol! Just sayin’.

I have a planted freshwater tank in my daughter’s room with some shrimp in it. They are fun.
do you keep any other fish with them, i want to keep a female betta with them but it might kill them

He's already got some, assassin snails basically killed all of them. In my planted freshwater I have a low population of ramshorn cause I like them, but also something is eating them not sure what.
Ok. The duplicate posts threw me off. It was never stated he had any. Just a ram horn infestation.

Welcome. Also have a freshwater housing my jack Dempsey. That being said saltwater is addicting! I won't setup another freshwater aquarium for myself again. Maybe kids but salt all the way now.
