I wish I could send you this, one of the blue kenya frags in the puddle, it would look nice next to your cespitularia. ;)

Howdy folks.

Is been a while since I've checked in.
I'm happy to see everyone is doing relatively well despite our current troublesome times.

@NY_Caveman your pics really make me homesick.
I miss my city!

I see all the reefs and corals and fish pics on here. They are fantastic. My build is slowly coming along but not near where some of you guys are at. I've still got a lot of work to do.

Anyway...
Just wanted to stop in and say hello, see the pics and spread the love.

Had a weird morning with the tank. Came home from work and the water level in the display was high. I looked in the back AIO chambers and the level was over the baffles. Happened to be investigating right when the float switch alarm on the ATO went off. Hmmmm....

First thing was to power off the return pump and the ATO. I pulled the return, tubes and RFG nozzles to check for blockage. Despite months past due maintenance, they were surprisingly clean. Scratched my head. ATO sensors seemed fine.

Then I found the issue. Both overflows were clogged with gunk and algae growth. Yeah, I have become pretty lazy. Seems the level in the display rose due to that. Then of course the back chambers were lower causing the ATO to dump in RO/DI. The conductivity was down to 50.7 mS/cm from 53 (down to about 1.045 in specific gravity).

I pulled about a gallon of water out and left the ATO off to allow the SG to rise slowly. All seems to be working fine now.

Yeah, the algae shows how lazy I am. BTW, check out how big the clone anemone is now (left) compared to the original (right)

Finally, a decent shot of the Clownfish together in the original anemone.

The male has really grown the past couple of weeks. Seems after a long period of learning to submit they are hanging out socially all the time. My guess is this makes him bolder at feeding time, although he may just be growing into his stature as a mature male. Maybe they will learn something from the dirty snails, LOL!
